Fun Facts About Fish!

In the big blue sea live many wonderful creatures called fish! They come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, just like you and me! Some fish have long, slender bodies, while others are short and round. Some fish are brightly colored to attract attention, while others are dark to hide at the bottom of the sea. Some fish are hunters and like to catch other sea creatures for their dinner, while others are shy and only eat plants that grow in the sea. Fish have gills to help them breathe underwater, and fins and tails to help them swim. Fish swim together in groups called schools to protect each other from preditors. Sometimes fish communicate with each other by moving in a paricular way, other times they change color, release chemicals or use electricity to signal to their fish friends. So next time you go to the beach, be sure to look for all the fish and say hello!
